The BCHS Group Travel Accident insurance program, underwritten by Industrial Alliance Pacific, provides travel accident protection for health-related organizations as follows:
- Board or Council members
- Senior administrative staff
- All other staff or persons required to travel away from their normal job location on behalf of the organization
- All volunteers
Coverage includes Weekly Accident Indemnity, Death Benefit and Accident Reimbursement Indemnity. Benefits are paid when an insured person dies or is injured when travelling on behalf of the organization. The program offers two classifications of coverage: non-emergency travel or emergency transportation travel.
